Short form content! This buddy, named Jackson in honor of the kind neighbor gardener who first introduced my sister & me to his tomato #hornworms, was born in spring 2022, for a weekly challenge with the theme "cozy." He is beloved; something about cuteness, #gardening, #knitting, and #bugs.

AHHH! CAT!

Trying to capture the pure unbridled crazy of a Cat? On canvas? A foolhardy quest.

Acrylic on 12” x 12” polyester of violently bright colours, wrapped over canvas stretcher.

Person I want to see this is obviously not on the platform but ughhh. Sometimes sad I can't talk politics on the job (to encourage people that voting has an impact or say sex is not a binary) but today it meant a visit didn't get more personal than being called a traitor to my race (human I think).

Trying to get a state employee to wake up to the...massive global conspiracy they're complacent in? during business hours is like flirting with a barista at work. We can neither shut you down bluntly nor engage at the level you want. The only response you'll get is 1) nothing or 2) kicking you out.

For that reason, Burrow's End is the first season of Dimension 20 I've rewatched, having been the first actual DnD season I went for in the stories I picked one at a time before starting in from the beginning of the show.

Even knowing what's coming, it's still so good.

Man, I love a good dawning realization in fiction. Every emotional version of it is delicious, but especially for spooky month the metaphorical "oh no I didn't even think to prepare for that threat but I've just understood the shadow I've been standing in this whole time as it steps up behind me."

Perhaps you already found it and will therefore not see this answer, freely wandering the fields, escaped--but for me, "sign out" is a red link at the bottom of Settings in the left sidebar/hamburger menu.

I don't talk about it all the time but *man* was Finder a lovable show for its half season; rewatched this spring and it holds up (aside from unacknowledged slurs for its Roma characters), though I had forgotten what a sudden tone shift downer of a last episode it had for the sake of cliffhangers.
a man wearing glasses says " yeah i 'd say i 'm cheerful and sad most days .. "
Alt: The character Walter from Fox's 2012 series The Finder, in the passenger seat of a car with the sun shades on his glasses flipped up, answering someone in the back seat, "Yeah I'd say I'm cheerful and sad most days."

I wonder if it's as simple as color contrast--on dark mode bsky everything is already blue but your warm pinks especially pop, versus insta is blacks, whites, and orange-pink gradients for their stories usually. So cool palettes might be a welcome visual break.

🧡 Many years ago, we started feeding a stray who showed up to play with my cat around Christmas, and late Jan./early Feb. we put a flea collar on him. Within the next day, he returned to our porch with a note under the collar saying he'd been missing since mid-November from "home" three houses away.

Need to take a non-business call without leaving your comfy studio desk chair and the IRS is watching? You don't even have to slip through the doorway, just lean your head out the window. No non business use at all, nosirree.

Unfortunately I keep forgetting to go find a corner of the library to record in until they're close to closing, and they're unlikely to have a good place to fix a camera anyway. So today I took advantage of the end of some cool weather to use a park bench, camera clipped to its arm while I slouched.

so I did! But post-training we seldom have time together, so though we could schedule a meeting after work to walk through the pattern, a video to link to as well as written chart and thorough key seems like it could be helpful.

A coworker of mine crochets but doesn't know the terms (nor symbols) for stitches. We were in training together as newbies and she got a good idea for a tiny crocheted gift we could make for all our coworkers easily before the end of year holidays. It sounded like a fun pattern to figure out--
