We once got delivery from these folks, dude knew the moment we opened the door, slid backwards towards us, handed over the food and handed the change before I had the time to open the wallet. They then got onto the trash can, started shaking and then slid backwards back to the restaurant I presume.
ordered food here. the server did 7 frame-perfect turnarounds in a row and launched themselves through the door speeding past my table at 700km/h but the plate was perfect. 5 star service, would eat here again

Part of the 30% cut that Valve takes is the implicit agreement that they'll protect developers from the hassle of dealing with individual payment providers, and if they're not actually willing to go to bat for us, why are we paying them so much again
Saw someone cite the Collective Shout thing and payment processors in regards to the Horse situation and say "Valve can't fight them by itself", and I think we maybe shouldn't be defending multi-billion dollar companies for arbitrary takedowns of artistic works and acting like they're the little guy

can't stop thinking about the idea of technofeudalism. big tech is just collecting rent from what feels like basic internet infrastructure (search, stores, etc). if I'm gonna have to pay taxes to use public spaces online I'd prefer it to go to the government than to some billionaire asshole
