Reminder that unfortunately we've had to cancel tonight's pizza night, as our chef is no longer available, so it's business as usual at our taproom this weekend.

Coming up next weekend it's green hop beer launch day, and next month the return of curry night.

My first green hop beer of the season at @clarkshaws.bsky.social - and very nice it was too 💚

Will have to return for the original South London postcoded S1!

Hugely relieved no-one was injured. Rather than talking about reducing peaceful protest, I'd love it if we focussed on reducing violent, extremist dicks attacking places of worship.

Men in balaclavas set fire to a mosque in East Sussex last night. It's only appearing on the BBC's local coverage, rather than its main national headlines, despite coming just a week after the (also under-reported) firebombing of an asylum hotel in London last week

Absolutely. They've been given more than enough time to move the money elsewhere.

This reminds of the time the British meat lobby monstered Blue Peter for accurately telling kids that eating less beef was one of the best things they could do to reduce their personal warming impact, and the BBC caved and replaced this advice with unevidenced meat industry talking points

If you are planning to watch the Women's Rugby World Cup Final this afternoon and need some beer to share with friends, we've got 5 litre (8.5 pint) minikegs available to pick up from the taproom after 2pm. In stock for today: American Amber Ale, 4.1%, £30.

It's late September and we've made a keg of wheat beer, so this weekend we'll be having a small Octoberfest at the taproom. Usual hours: 2-8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
A flight of beers lined up on the bar, with one of team Clarkshaws smiling behind the counter, and brewing vessels, glasses, bottling equipment and hoses in the background.

We've been the only house on our street with solar panels for the last 14 years! It's crazy isn't it.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again.

Ignore the haters, London is the 🐐
Graphic with the headline “London is the greatest city in the world” set against a bright view of the River Thames with the Shard, Tower Bridge and the city skyline.

The text celebrates what makes London special: regularly voted the number one city in the world, incredible diversity with over 300 languages spoken, world-class transport, world leader in finance tech and life sciences, best museums and galleries many free to visit, world-leading nightlife, food sport and music for every taste, host to the world’s best sporting events, home to seven Premier League clubs, globally-ranked universities, a city where you can be yourself and love who you love, and a place for everyone.

“Come,” said the Wind to the Leaves one day.

UK brewers, take note: a record-hot summer has slashed Challenger and Fuggles hop yields by as much as 60%. While prices may stay steady, shortages could force recipe adjustments—and growers warn the stress could affect next year’s crop too.
