To be fair, you wouldn’t actually do that. There are performance, reliability, and HA reasons to spread things out, and storage that dense creates its own issues.

Watched a YT video about KIOXIA’s bonkers 245 TB SSD drives. 10-15 years ago I had a team that built multi-petabyte Ceph clusters using spinning rust, requiring a bunch of servers, high speed networking, and a lot of software. Now you can just slap a bunch of these drives into a server. 😂

The offense is elite, but you can’t sleep on the defense. Stout on the DL with Verse and Fiske, and some excellent safeties including Kinchens, who is one of my fave Miami grads.

This Rams team is so fun! Love all the 13 personnel, big boy bully ball on offense. Physical fast TEs, a killer duo of RBs, a couple of star WRs, and a legend orchestrating at QB.

Now that Synology reversed course on their drive comparability restrictions, I’ve ordered a new NAS which arrived today. Going from an ancient five bay system to a brand new 8 bay.

Every year after AWS re:Invent I come home sick. It’s damn near impossible to escape the conference without at least a cold. Thankfully, this time it isn’t anything serious, just some congestion and exhaustion. Rest and hydration!

Still absolutely beaming with pride for the Canes and am so grateful for coach Cristobal. The team has improved every year, and he has led the program to its best two seasons in over 20 years, and now to the CFP. Awesome.
