Nothing too complicated, honestly. I just had a fun time stomping through it, like the level of truly absurd stuff that’s in the game is genuinely funny

Comparatively 3 and 4, while definitely better in most ways, also have very tedious bits that drag them down for me

Like, y’know how they made “SRW but it’s Touhou”? I wanna see that but it’s Final Fantasy and Persona and Dragon Quest and a half dozen forgotten ps2 gems all clashing and making new alliances and just really going nuts on the sexy crossover plots

Kinda tricky actually! FE fandom is so divided that any take I have would be milquetoast in one community and boiling lava in another. And like, FFT rules so I’m pretty basic there too.

Oh, here’s one, not a hot take exactly but kinda weird: I want to see an SRW-like game but for other jRPGs.

Persona 3 kinda sucks overall. Like yeah the ending is fire for pure atmosphere but basically everything between April and January is a slog

Relatedly I think P4 Arena sells P3 lore better than P3 did, Labrys gives them so much more weight

It’s the only time Gust actually allowed themselves to focus wholly on moment to moment mechanics and it’s so good, very little before or sense are as viscerally satisfying to play, you have so many tools and you NEED them

Yeah like, if this spider-man set was an expansion to an already existing Marvel set, and was able to reference his place in the larger world, it would probably have been received well.
