If ever there was any force I wish I'd never met I'll tell you without hesitation: It's the internet Living the nightmare: Old, autistic, lost in the Connecticut woods, ten years past my sell-by date: a Case-Deaton case. Bread for all...roses, too.

With all due respect governor, back off. Graham Platner's making plenty of headway, is attracting independents, and presents an excellent challenge to Collins. You're not helping anything at all with this.

It kind of feels like the Washington Post will keep shedding journalists until the only thing left is an AI bot trained on the writings of Ayn Rand.

Trump loves his "right out of central casting" types, and Cheung is exactly that if anyone ever could be. A real cinematic fireball.

María Corina Machado has quite a lot of experience hiding from crazed murderous autocrats. This will serve her well today.

If they're really struggling with this problem, I'd be happy to hide some of their wealth in my cellar for them, where nobody'd ever think to look for it. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to take it all, because my cellar's only so big. Perhaps others would be willing to join me in helping them out.

This. This, this, this.

All I want in life is to persuade everyone, when encountering politics & culture, to ask, "why are we talking about this?" I mean that very literally: anything you encounter on your screens reflects a choice. Someone covered that, talked about that, rather than the many other things out there. Why?

Felicitaciones, María Corina Machado, por recibir el Premio Nobel de la Paz.

This award honours not only your courage and conviction.

But every voice that refuses to be silenced. In Venezuela and across the world.

Hey, now that the warfighters are warfighting on home turf (and *against* home turf, no less) they're gonna need every last billion they can get. A lot of palms bout to get some heavy greasing.

I've always thought so. Nobody has cheekbones like that in real life. Nobody.

Jeepers, they must have used some kind of a filter or something because everybody looks so much younger than they usually do. Artificial intelligence is SO much better than real intelligence, isn't it? It'll save us all! Can't wait!

Who? The guy in the blue? Where'd he ever get the idea that something like this could ever be all right?
Would-be Romeo Ingrassia looking pretty chummy with that Andrew Tate guy.

the epstein files aren’t dropping & this isn’t a distraction from them.

this is a fascist setting up the field to eliminate every point of friction that might impede an attempt to seize absolute power.

quippy posts about epstein are delaying your realization of, & motivation to fight, that fact.

No, because they might get in trouble with the boss. You might not know it to look at them, but they're both pretty risk-adverse.

For a while it felt like “gamification” was this vacuous buzzword that companies would talk about because investors wanted to hear it. That lasted for about eight years. Then one day gamification had won and our whole mass culture was downstream of the gamification feature kit.

Challengers to Connecticut's assault weapons ban are now asking SCOTUS to take up their case and declare all assault weapons bans unconstitutional.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

The “compact” for higher ed is an unserious document written by unserious people from a position of spectacular ignorance. No one should take it seriously. Sadly, my bosses are taking it seriously.

No clearer indication of the right’s moral rot than the swift evolution from angrily denying any association with buffoonish bigots like like Posobiec and Fuentes, to “there’s no harm in having a conversation,” to openly praising and promoting them.

Not the least surprised by this. I’d hope it might finally wake up some mainstream libertarians to what Smith is really about. But it probably won’t.
