What it’s like living in a small town: I have seen the mayor at three funerals and a wedding this week. This morning, he leaned in and said, “We have to stop running into each other. People will talk.” All three funerals this week have been for friends. Including the husband of my first crush.

If afraid that if the Epstein Files are ever EVER released, they’re going to be so censored and redacted that they only show the crimes of his enemies and are basically blunt. But there’s no doubt that he‘s guilty. I know this with every fiber of my being.

Our local paper used to have an obituary department where you'd either fax or call in your obituary and they'd edit it and publish it in the paper. It was under the editorial department, so you couldn't make wild claims like you got a Purple Heart or won an Academy Award.
