This honestly break my brain, what the fuck
Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh were going to team up to make a Kylo Ren/Ben Solo movie written by Scott Z Burns.

Lucasfilm loved it. Disney executives killed it.

Adam Driver reveals there was a script he called 'The Hunt for Ben Solo,' but Disney executives killed it.

I guess the Phillies decided that going to the World Series is actually not cool and they’re just not gonna bother trying.

While unlikely a non-steroid juicing player will ever beat Barry Bonds record, I really wanna see Schwarber meet or beat Roger Marris’ record. Just need 12 more homers across 17 games… not impossible!
Number 50 for Kyle Schwarber, crowd noise only

Holy shit Electric Nebraska. It’s real and I will listen to it

This week’s Star Trek Strange New Worlds showed me something I’d been wanting to see for years (Kirk serving aboard the USS Farragut)

I love this show, but honestly just find this embarrassing - and I generally like musicals. Like this year my wife got me tickets to see Cats for my birthday and I found this episode beyond embarassing
Two years ago today, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds debuted Star Trek's very first musical episode, with songs by Tom Polce & Kay Hanley and a series of stellar performances from the cast. Were you a fan? Do you know the songs by heart now? (And do you have a favorite?)

Really loved Superman. Perfect cast, perfect tone, the exact movie I wanted to see. Loved how filled put the world felt without feeling overstuffed. Can’t wait for more, but also looking forward to watching it again.

Honestly here for it. That 2020 limited series was terrible, I thought it would be another 20 years before they tried again. I don’t have thoughts really on Liman and yeah condensing things into a single movie is insane, but why not give it a go

I’ve been rewatching lots of Star Wars because of Andor, including the original 1977 version of Star Wars and the Ewok Adventure. I haven’t seen either since my childhood. It’s funny watching the original after 30 years of the Special Edition, I don’t miss a lot of it, but some parts I do.

As an American-Australian, I’ve voted in 2 hugely consequential elections in the last 6 months, and it is nice when at least one of them goes positively. Was expecting Labor to win, but I thought it would be a soft win not a landslide! Also dared to dream of Dutton losing his seat and it came true.

A third Talisman book is actually coming. Really, really excited for this. Also looking forward to Never Flinch - thankful that King is pumping books out annually and he has been on a really great run the last decade plus.
I’m channeling Peter. He gets co-credit. Hopefully this gets done. T3 is a long one.
This year, Holly Gibney is back in NEVER FLINCH.
Are you writing that on your own or sharing it with another author since Mr. Straub is unavailable?

This made me gasp with excitement. Robert Pattinson is so perfect for Scytale. I absolutely cannot wait for Dune Messiah. I love all of Herbert’s books, and tend to think Messiah is my favourite. So many amazing moments I can’t wait to see on screen

Robert Pattinson Eyed for Villain Role in ‘Dune: Messiah’
The actor would join Timothée Chalamet in Denis Villeneuve's third and final 'Dune' film.

Val Kilmer has always been one of my favourite actors since I was a kid. He just was always so cool, intense, interesting. He’s an actor I always wanted more of despite how great movies he did. Probably the last great one he did was Macgruber which also lead to my favorite anecdote from Will Forte

The season premiere of The Righteous Gemstones has reinforced my belief that Bradley Cooper should pivot into doing exclusively westerns.

Good casting! In terms of Khan, I’d be more interested in a story set on earth during the eugenics wars, but happy to have Nic Meyer telling a story he wants to tell again in Trek.

My dad’s cousin. Never met him, but always cool having a real deal ballplayer in the family. My dad and our uncle once took my older brother to see Jamie play and at the end of the game my Uncle went to go meet Jamie in the locker room and neither my uncle or my dad thought to bring my brother with
6000 days ago (September 21, 2008), 45-year-old Phillies lefty Jamie Moyer becomes the second-oldest pitcher to win 15 games in a season, behind only Phil Niekro. I guess if you don’t throw the ball all that hard to begin with, age doesn’t have as much velocity to take away.

This guy is so embarrassing and really emphasises how much damage is being done because the Democrats insist on running their leadership selection as a Make a Wish program
Asked what he recommends federal workers do, Gerry Connolly says: "I guess if you can, cover yourself and do the five things you did last week"

I was not interested in Skeleton Crew at all, the premise Stranger Things/80s Amblin in Star Wars was a huge turn off, but once we get past the first episode and we meet Jude Law though it sheds that pretence and it becomes clear it is actually Treasure Island in Star Wars and I actually loved it.

Star Trek Section 31. Woof. Embarrassingly bad. Really only watched it because I like the idea of Star Trek TV movies filling in gaps, but this was a bad way to try and get that concept rolling.

Look my cope is that things are gonna get incredibly stupid. Hopefully as few people are hurt as possible, but my hope is that things are so stupid that people finally wake up and inoculate themselves to the bullshit. Especially when things don’t suddenly get cheaper and the economy tanks.

@thedigitalbits.bsky.social is there any word of William Friedkin’s Rampage coming out on 4K? Saw a reddit thread about it a year ago, but could not see any news

The first time I tried watching David Lynch I was in High School and I rejected his work as weird for weird sake. A few years later in the very early days of streaming, I ran out of tv to watch and the CBS website had all of Twin Peaks available for free. I decided to give it a go and by the start

Over the past 18 months I watched basically every movie Clint Eastwood ever starred in. I didn’t rewatch the Dollars trilogy or High Plains Drifter as those are old favourites, nor Josey Wales because I can’t abide lost cause romanticism, but I watched pretty everything else and they all rule
