ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

I get an idea in my head and I can't let it go

Words that go so well together

help me rid you from my mind

me and you go so well together

We fell in love between the lines
we fell in love between the lines
of unhealthy gacha obsessions

lines of gacha love obsessions
fell in between the unhealthy we

Pressure's in between you and me
unhealthy water in obsessions

Pain Bouquet and Fragile Facade

Pain Bouquet

I had clients who were hesitant
to identify their experience as abuse
in my empathic listening I wondered
if they too protect their abusers
for how could I call it
emotional incest
parentification
when those words
suggest the failure I try
desperately to protect her from
and that's not necessarily selfless
as privacy was never a right to them
for what might happen if they
happened to read this?
As she blames the child
and became angry and smashed
a Christmas tree down to the floor
breaking those pretty ornaments
or when the little six year old
went into a bar to get
her mommy to stop drinking
or when she made her grilled cheese
sandwiches just the way she liked
after her many surgeries
is that not exactly
parentification?
Ah is that where this
shattered glass analogy is
coming from then? Both the
glass house and those baubles
and the only breathable air
was second hand smoke
or cold dusty cellar

Fragile Vacade

Oh this endless tidal wave of
trauma reprocessing and
then the luxurious
inspiration it
gives me
lest I
sink
under
the words
that passed
and now evade
but they were so
stunningly painful
that I may have
gotten many
likes and
shares

Realistic trauma recovery starts by just noticing, without shame or judgment (that part's important), how often we reflexively try to cram ourselves into an identity that doesn't fit us just because someone else expects or desires us to "be" that person.

Just notice today.
