I have a theory that the roman catholic church took all its skill points from every possible skill it could have and then just put them into the skill of teaching about poverty.

Like how are they so completely stupid about sexuality & then turn and say the poor are entitled to take from the rich?

The belief amongst roman catholics that women cant be priests because Jesus was male so women cant be in persona christi has led to random dudes on instagram yelling that God made MEN in his image, and NOT women.

Then they unironically tell me that I'M the heretic who needs to read my Bible. 😬 ⚓️

The fact that some dismiss or ridicule charitable works, as if they were an obsession on the part of a few and not the burning heart of the Church’s mission, convinces me of the need to go back and re-read the Gospel, lest we risk replacing it with the wisdom of this world.

I have always loved the art from Enid Chadwick's My Book of the Church's Year

Artwork in a very 1940s art style. It says NOVEMBER on top in red. Then 1st ALL SAINTS with art of the saints worshippjng at the altar with the lamb of God on it.

Below that it says 2nd ALL SOULS' DAY subtitled When we remember the Faithful Departed and the art shows a priest censing an altar surrounded by candles. The altar says "requiem aeternam"
