Last night, I went to the local 'posh' pub to meet a mate. His pint of cask ale was awful. He said it would put him off going to that pub ever again. There are so many variables around cask ale that it can be hard to get a sense of its *overall* health. [Ray]

OOOOOOOOOO Labour is planning to FREEZE rail fares for the FIRST TIME IN THIRTY YEARS! Fantastic, now I can continue paying what I've paid all year for trains that are frequently delayed, cancelled and so packed I get a backpack in the face.

A lot of the local beer and cider on tap at the festival could be in more pubs if it weren't for our outdated licensing system. Consider joining CAMRA and lending your voice to the campaign for a fairer deal for our local producers.
We *are* furious. Northern Ireland's outdated licensing system is in dire need of reform, and today's setback is a huge blow to the incredible independent brewers and cider producers here.
