Remember when HS2 to Leeds was cancelled by the NIC's shitty maths and fundamental lack of expertise, and Leeds was thrown the bone of "you'll get trams" and I said those would never be delivered?

Yeah, as I was saying...

Last night, I went to the local 'posh' pub to meet a mate. His pint of cask ale was awful. He said it would put him off going to that pub ever again. There are so many variables around cask ale that it can be hard to get a sense of its *overall* health. [Ray]

So Labour can moan about Greens being unrealistic as much as they want, but who is the bigger fantasist: the people who know the house is on fire and something radical is needed? Or the people saying "this is fine" as the roof falls in?

When I arrived in the UK 25 years ago I had a job at a university that paid £21k. I could barely make ends meet but I worked hard and eventually I succeeded. I guess this Labour government considers young broke hardworking me a “taker”?

Fuck this.
This is so disgusting.

This is just a repeat of Starmer. It didn't matter how many people said 'This guy seems slimy as fuck' the centrist big brains told us the electorate would actually love him.

When the McShitter Coup comes don't feign shock when the first word cloud to drop has 'Creepy' front and centre.
It is comical how disliked Wes Streeting is by everyone other than Labour MPs and centrist journalists.

I'm not sure even they actually like him, they just see him as "electoral dynamite" for reasons that are beyond the rest of us.

Even a paper-thin win at the last election didn't change this.

Great to see Leah Williamson interviewed in the New Statesman. Mainstream recognition of women's football is vital.

Dampened slightly by the journalist's insistence on calling them Arsenal Ladies - a name abandoned eight years ago on equality grounds.

What an obsequious, toadying, servile, brown-nosing, corrupt little cunt Gianni Infantino is.

The FIFA 'peace prize' is the most cringe-worthy, pathetic thing I've ever seen in my life.

Football deserves better than this travesty of a ceremony and ruling body.

Mosquera and Kelly both out for the rest of 2025.

Why must the football gods be so cruel?

@tim-stillman.bsky.social do you know where fans are meeting for a pre match pint tomorrow? Don't have a ticket but live a couple of stops from Villa Park so thought I'd soak up the pre match atmosphere before retreating to the safety of my own house!

the women's institute have long been proudly trans inclusive.

then @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social came along.

trans ppl were not causing a problem in society. we still aren't.

the ppl causing these problems are the 'gender critical' cult. they are completely out of control.

This was all under the cover of a made up "black hole" whilst refusing to tax the super rich.

There are some truly unhinged bits in the piece about Glasman, as to be expected when dealing with Glasman, but seriously what the actual? That's...one hell of a conflation of terminology.

OOOOOOOOOO Labour is planning to FREEZE rail fares for the FIRST TIME IN THIRTY YEARS! Fantastic, now I can continue paying what I've paid all year for trains that are frequently delayed, cancelled and so packed I get a backpack in the face.

Labour expecting to be thanked for freezing rail fares (which were put up over double the rate of inflation this year, and nearly 20% since 2021), is in the same league as them expecting to be thanked for doubling the cost of taking the bus. 🤪🤡
