Is this the largest Double Arrow to go on a building in 40 years? It's RS2, it's track gauge high, and I'm mightily proud of it.

Great news for Finnish @garethdennis.uk, who's presumably going to be quite busy for the next several decades.
#Finland will begin to #Russia - proof its rail network, integrate with EU train infrastructure.

The Finnish government has announced the conversion of its rail network from Russian gauge (1,524 mm) to European standard (1,435 mm).

A few people have sent me this piece. It is riddled with outright lies, stuff about Arrow Electronics and NVIDIA (Arrow never mentions NVDA in any earnings docs and has said nothing about stock) and outright falsehoods about Oracle. This is very likely AI generated, written to panic people.

This is the thing. There were flashes of Trump trying to dominate Mamdani—patting his back, protecting him about his insults and remarks—but he didn’t even smile, just rolled with it. All of the actual concessions came from Trump himself, while he stayed on message—a message Trump wanted to claim.
I really don’t know what to make of this meeting. Mamdani didn’t seem to give Trump much of anything and Trump…fawned over him?

Bodes well for London Labour at the locals next year
Danish Social democrats suffered a massive defeat in Copenhagen last night. They incurred similar defeats across the country and there will be a general election in the next year. In Copenhagen the far-left Enhedslisten (the unity list) won the most mandates followed by the socialist people's party.

Imagine running a half-hourly train service (admittedly at 350 km/h) that runs at a huge operational loss due to low demand – and keeping it reserved seating only, with ticket sales closing 15 mins ahead of every departure

Charts like this paint an overly optimistic picture

Many countries are off track for delivery & are unlikely to fully implement their current policy targets without greater action

E.g UKs Climate Change Commitee asseses that there is insufficient implementation to meet 40%of our emissions target!
