Also one to answer the question, why do you buy so many tools? Cause I just bought these extractors on sale and this one saved my ass on the exhaust nut that had rotted down to almost nothing, no socket was gonna grip that but it was actually easier than some of the non pooched nuts.
Pictured here, a modification I wanted to do! High flow 360 degree swivel air fitting, gonna test it on the tool that goes into weird angles the most, my 90° die grinder that I just used to modify the other tool :3
I love having to modify new tools to make them work, that but that has been ground to hell is meant to go into the piece under it, guess what it didn't do :3 The other end for installing the balancer fit just fine, for some reason this side was 0.020" thicker.....
Hoping in the long run resealing the oil pan and timing cover fixes most of my oil usage issues, looks like I may also need a new PCV valve, obviously a belt, and the tensioner ain't looking too great, hopefully not too many other parts.
Finished up with the valve covers off and attempting to pull the harmonic balancer, only to find out my new tool is defective, yay!!!.....

Put most of the wheels with new rubber on as well.
I would love to know how this happened, I had this belt off not too long ago for the alternator, and I always make sure the belt is sitting properly before starting the engine again....
Put this little shit in sky jail to finally get some work done so I can start driving it again instead of my dad's Ranger. Only broke one fastener pulling the exhaust cross over, too bad it was for the cross member under it :3 Yay for making my life harder! Also ran into some parts to replace.
I honestly don't even remember why I bought that anymore, possibly my truck before I figured out the Ford factory wiring diagram screwed me when I rewired the injectors to use the Mustang ECU, and that's why it wouldn't run.
Was starting to feel stressed out and needed to do something that felt like I was making progress, ended up finally cleaning up in my garage, apparently there was something under all the crap on my various boxes.

Didn't manage to find my missing inflator gauge though, which is annoying.
Cause of course I needed more tools to do the work I have planned, you'd think the exuberant amount I already have would be enough, thankfully caught the last day of this being on sale.

There were cheaper options, but now I can scare away future work by being ready for it.
Mini Twiga is amazing, short people in tall people's suits is always funny.

Though Kodo in mine just made my suit look proper corgi sized.
Niece's cat repaired, hopefully it stays that way for a bit, and hopefully my luck with parts improves that's the third thing in like a week with some kind of issue.

To be fair the shipper messed up the exhaust, but the tensioner for the Cheescape and those brake lines....
But you could still be 3 kobolds in a giraffe suit, that's actually far more amusing.
Really cool the new lines don't have a groove for the clip, time for sketchy cutting disc surgery!
Bye bye broken brake lines
Little arsehole is back together and oil changed, that's two "quick" maintenance jobs that spiraled into far more than they should have these days off.
Ever hate your past self? That's where the leak was, behind the AC compressor/power steering bracket, wanna guess why the timing cover was leaking?

Some dummy (it's me) didn't torque the bolts going through the water pump to the timing cover properly. Fixed that and wow, no leaks!
Rule one of working on things, never assume a quick job will be quick.....

Ranger has another coolant leak, looks like the timing cover, which is behind the pump I just changed, it passed a pressure test when I did the pump, but it's a pretty steady leak.
Next up in sky jail.

Just an oil change, but I wanna take a look at some stuff before winter, especially since I'm probably driving this thing until November with the repairs to my daily, good winter tires are important when you drive 4 hours of highway every 4 days
If it's that bad the diag time should be cheap, always loved getting a wheel bearing that sounded like wheel of fortune, made it easy for me XD
Ask Spots about wheel bearings, I've done at least a half dozen for him, 4 on his old Cavalier and 2 on the Cheescape™ (so far).

Definitely sounds like a wheel bearing on yours by the fact it happens when turning, though possible it's also a bent backing plate.
And because it never seems to end, found both front brake lines are starting to look pretty bad, so sourcing parts and will probably be changing those next week.
Put shinies on niece's car, calipers and brackets were rusted to hell and back, most of the work was cleaning that up so things would move again XD

Also did the glow plugs, but that took like 10 minutes so no pics.
