It’s 2002 and I’m riding in the back of our large family van (lots of siblings) with this CD in my Discman, listening to “Loving You’s a Dirty Job but Somebody’s Gotta Do It” and Feeling. Things. I was in middle school, but you best believe I thought I could relate to the story of jaded lovers.

Husband and I just embarked on a spiritual journey through Bonnie Tyler’s Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire album, a staple of my (very, very gay) 7th grade discography. Mind you, this was the 2000s. We laughed, we sang, we looked up lyrics, and we laughed some more. Straight fire 10/10
