It's so jarring to see how truly out of touch executives and upper management are, not just with what the public wants and expects, but with what their organizations actually even do
1/ At bargaining yesterday, @propublica.org management said that they should have 100% discretion to replace workers with AI and would not commit to labeling future AI-generated content.

No, there is not "insatiable demand for AI compute." 75% of AI compute is bought by Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, OpenAI or NVIDIA - the company selling the GPUs. If demand were real, NVIDIA wouldn't have to buy $5-6bn of AI compute every year for the next 3 years.

There aren't really any good reasons for the highway to have a speed limit but for the facts that many American people drive in a state of constant angry paranoia and that cops need a reason to arbitrarily pull over and fine people (creating far more danger than someone speeding).

I started watching in February of 2005 - the Smackdown taped in Tokyo with Angle and Rey in the main event. 21 was my first Mania, so I've never really known ongoing mainstream wrestling without Cena. I've moved on from WWE entirely and he was never really "my guy" but tonight still feels weird.
