Trump’s peace deal is far from the “total victory” he pledged for two years. Hamas is still armed and operational, the first phase doesn’t guarantee disarmament or leadership exile, and Gaza’s post-war governance is undefined.

On Friday, the Nobel Committee announced the 2025 accolade would go to Machado for promoting democratic rights in Venezuela and “for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

This sure looks like a rebuke of Trump for his authoritarianism!

Trump’s military is bombing alleged “drug smuggling” boats in the Caribbean instead of stopping & arresting them. Key question for Canada now is:
