I honestly think an issue with this is the general FF14 system means that for all intents and purposes there is one right way to do something and there's also no horizontal progression of any kind. Which was fine when class identity was really distinct. But now it's just roles.
I agree that lack of in-game tools is an issue, but a bigger issue is that people are now so used and ingrained in having a discord server or content creator figure shit out for them that even if things were to change, the people's mindset of going external for everything wont
