If you were alive or even somewhat conscious during that the 2000s, you have seen this before.
Hard to watch US TV media discussing how the US might occupy and run a foreign country as if itโ€™s a perfectly normal political development.

Is it wrong to invade a country unprompted, kidnap its leader, and destabilize a region?

Or are you just upset they didn't tell you before they did it?

Some congressional Democrats think it looks weak if they criticize the American dictator for illegally removing the Venezuelan dictator.

Personally, I think it looks weak to abdicate your constitutionally mandated war-powers to enable a war that 74% of Americans oppose. Grow a pair!
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

"Everything Trump touches must be bad according to the base," one House Dem told @axios.com

Said another: "It looks weak." www.axios.com/2026/01/04/m...

This feels like some "um, actually" energy coming from the responses.

She's not referring specifically to Raskin, and unlikely follows Raskin specifically. The Party and leadership did not back Mamdani until much later if they did at all, with many old guard either being aloof or backing Cuomo.

This is beyond horrific.

ICE is responsible for the well-being of people in immigration detention and it is failing that responsibility miserably. Mr. Geโ€™s loved ones and the American people need answers immediately. www.newsweek.com/ice-detainee...

Schumer let this happen. You should call him out for his weakness and run against him! Senator AOC!

Will you cut support from those who voted for it, punish them, or provide some semblance of party discipline against these Senators?

If you take one glimpse at Jeffries this should be obvious, but Nancy Pelosi is one of the most effective Democrats of the last few decades and she was one of the very, very few to understood that the purpose of gaining political power was to actually use it.
