President Hernandez was responsible for smuggling 500 TONS of cocaine into the United States! He was the top dog; the Pablo Escobar figure! He wasn’t just “selling drugs in that country.”
Reporter: You have made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the US—

Trump: Right

Reporter: Can you explain why you would pardon a notorious drug trafficker?

Trump: If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn’t mean you arrest the president

As the vulture population plummets, dogs multiply and rabies spreads.

The sequence, triggered by human action, carries a warning that many scientists consider to be a sixth mass extinction: When we endanger other species, we endanger ourselves.
Humans killed millions of vultures. Now people are paying the price.
The near-extinction of vultures in India has had severe consequences.

This isn't the largest data leak in history, but it's up there.

I'm sure that the DPC, Ireland's data protection agency, already has a crisis team urgently looking at ways to do nothing about this.

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

I suggest to use non-WEIRD/WEIRD countries over Global North/South.

In my opinion: more precise (at least it offers characteristic) and well, where the hell is north? Because magnetic north is in the south

This comment has a strong guns-don't-kill-people vibe.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said today that the fight against climate change was not against the fuels that cause it — only the pollution they emit.
Von der Leyen says EU is not fighting fossil fuels, only emissions
The comment could undermine European countries’ push at COP30 to move away from coal, oil and gas.
