Yet again Sheffield University management are forcing sheffielducu.bsky.social members out on strike f/ Monday to protect staff jobs, student educ, + research progress which are under threat by major (and financially unnecessary) change management processes.

Another university has to be possible!

Human Geography at Leicester is facing closure. Staff contracts are to end in June 2026; students are to be relocated to other universities, or taught out by a maximum of two (!) teaching-only staff. Other departments and subjects are facing closure, too. Please join the demo!

One of the first depictions was by Hungarian artist Mihály Biró in 1912. His image of a fist emerging from factories toward parliament in Budapest visualised the power of collective action.

As @drugdatadecoded.ca reported, the judge noted DULF "are being hung out to dry. As soon as politicians started complaining, all of a sudden VPD [local police]—which before was fine—suddenly was not fine.” She nonetheless ruled on procurement and distribution? Legal hair-spitting over justice?
