One year ago today, Hearst CT journalists announced we were forming a union.

Since then, we have withstood the company’s union-busting, won an election with 80% of the vote and become official NewsGuild of NY members.

Minutes ago, more than 290(!) Hearst journalists from across the country sent this letter to our bosses, demanding they treat us with the respect and dignity we deserve.

In CT that means dropping spurious appeals and respecting our rights as unionized employees.

As 2024 comes to a close, one of the best events from a local news perspective was the formation of the CT News Guild ✊💪
