How does anyone get anything done when there are cats?
Yes, we could blame location sharing, or perhaps we could blame the men who use location sharing to stalk and murder.

Loss of provincial $ sucks but this was always an event that mainly benefitted Vancouver. It's nice the province sponsored so much before but it was never a given that it would last.

The city should easily be able to make up this shortfall, but instead they've chosen vibes-based austerity.

"support solution oriented conversations" is the type of third rate mba consultant pablum that says nothing

but hacks know it sounds sort of serious without committing to anything

so they shove into politicians' mouths to insult people with ears

no i haven't eaten lunch today why do you ask

Ok time to ask the cigarette company back to sponsor. We have a million weed and vape stores in this city, surely they can get together with a proposal?
Due to a funding collapse, organizers of the Honda Celebration of Light have cancelled the 2026 event.

Vancouver's annual fireworks tradition of over three decades is short $1 million due to lower sponsorship and government support. #bcpoli #vanpoli

Is it because Canadian bosses love diversity and inclusion? Or maybe because they are cheaper, therefore they bring down the cost of labour for everyone? Hmmmm a real head scratcher.

Am currently in an Aussie grocery store for the purpose of comparing grocery prices with Canadian stores and The Angel’s Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again is playing and it is the weirdest experience. (If you know, you know)

I just stood up and applauded at the end of this brilliant book by Helen Lewis. I loved Difficult Women but I loved this one just as much.

Your 13 year old self lives within you for the rest of your life. Experiencing antisemitism as a child never goes away either. I have no skin in this game; I have no clue who Nigel Farage is, nor do I care, but I absolutely understand where this writer is coming from.

Melbourne is a city well known for its vandalism in all its municipalities. The other day, I found city workers in this municipality painstakingly repairing this mosaic with small tiles after they had been vandalised by a blunt object and removed. It’s a matter of priority and will.
