One of my fave things of working at LAT when it was downtown was looking up Bunker Hill and seeing the sun hit the stainless steel sails of Disney Hall.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

The Columbine boys used to call each other Johnny Reb, a reference to the pro-African Slavery Confederate States of America, and used racial slurs while killing people of color. This came up during the investigation, and then disappeared forever into the ash-heap of history.
But yeah that did end up being the perfect smokescreen for the true motives. Out of everyone else I've seen or heard talk about it, no one I've seen before now has ever pointed the racism behind it.
