It is good then that tests preclude bugs. As soon as we started writing tests, bugs stopped.
There has never been a case where optimizing to pass a test created something that passed the test but failed to meet the original intent.

A strange find from the Epstein files:

A hacker named Vincenzo Iozzo shares with Epstein a rumor that Peter Thiel was "bankrolling" the neo-Nazi white supremacist hacker troll known as "weev."

Conversation is about financial strategies and "currencies."

We built Jikipedia, a new wiki that compiles Jmail data into exhaustive reports on key figures in the Epstein scandal.

It lists all recorded visits to Epstein's estates, each person's possible knowledge of Epstein's crimes and laws that they may have violated.

It's not some property of AI models, it's because "Conscious" is a thing that is not well defined.

We also don't know if the models are "gloquist", "alfielicry", "ruxidan" or "joydresiat" a series of properties I have named but not defined. Is that newsworthy too?

I've been posting about the bad decoding on the emails, but the Bondi print out yesterday shows something interesting:

It has the content of the email *without* the decoding artifact, I.E. where we can see it is "19" not "=1".

So they have a version of them without the decoding errors?

This thread of the story is still one of the most interesting and unanswered which I think places it into broader society.

How well controlled are those tools and what kind of circumstances are they deployed under?

(Also, if Apple is detecting your 0-days and warning people how good is the tool?)

What if he did this post but it was about phrenology or vaccines causing autism? In those cases, what would be the advantage of putting yourself in the enemies trap?
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

Classic "privacy by policy" rather than "privacy by design".

The former is technically easier and far more lucrative if you later decide other peoples data is your asset.
