How can Starmer be less popular than Boris Johnson or Liz Truss?
I'm not a fan of his, but - this is nuts.

I hate the word funnel.
(But only when used in a marketing context.)
I'm sure there must be a better word for what it describes.
But I can't think of one. (But surely 'sales leads' would suffice?)

Wouldn't be seen dead at such a thing even in the very unlikely event that anybody invited me to one.

Zia Yusuf is encouraging people to think that the Home Office accidentally on purpose released Hadush Kebatu.
Quite why they should wish to do this I really cannot fathom.

Reform bloke on Radio Wales going on about the £50m or so that the Nation of Sanctuary scheme costs.
I wish it was more widely understood that (a) that is chickenfeed in terms of government spending and (b) that a scheme that is designed to help people settle and find employment is a good thing.

I sat in the British Library reading League of Empire Loyalists, BNP & National Front literature for my book and even they claimed to promote *voluntary* repatriation. Forcible deportation was always the ghost behind those ideas, but it’s amazing that UK politicians don’t even bother to hide it.
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

I do wonder sometimes about those "moment that changed my life" articles in the Guardian. Sometimes doesn't seem that far removed from "I didn't bother shaving for a month. Here's what I learned".

AWS: What if we used that same system to centralise all the nodes?

PSA: we're aware that Signal is down for some people. This appears to be related to a major AWS outage. Stand by.

Has Question Time got slower? I'm sure they used to hammer through more questions when I used to watch it regularly. These days it feels like people are allowed to drone on for as long as they want.

To avoid the persistent awkward crossing the streams moments, I now have a separate Bluesky for my tarot and oracle card stuff. If you like that sort of thing you can go and follow it.
Thought I would do a quick introductory post. Hi, I'm Medraut Mordion, I'm a tarot card and oracle card reader.
I run an instagram with daily readings at www.instagram.com/medrautmordi... and I do both synchronous video readings and asynchronous email readings.
