It's fascinating to see the changes in one company's logo over the years.

Yeah and at this point I'm starting to lose my trust for Satya because his leadership in recent years has become really questionable especially with questionable decisions

I dont blame people that want Ballmer back like I grew up with Microsoft products under his leadership
Too bad, slopguy

Like is anyone surprised anymore Microsoft really lost its touch with its users and lost so much trust

AI this AI that it's obvious that Windows at this point is pretty much becoming a side project for the company

The other problem is that when you turn off the PC with it enabled your PC won't shut off completely as its hybrid (hibernate + shutdown)
If you notice boot problems on Windows 11, you may need to disable fast startup.

Or — if your device takes too long to boot, it might be because the feature isn't enabled in the first place!

Here's how it works:

Idk why some people are urging me to go back to using a Ubuntu based distro such as Mint or Zorin OS

As much as I want to I have been wanting to move away from them not because of the distros but because of the philosophy from Canonical that's why I went with Arch (including Manjaro) and Fedora

And I'll be honest the Skype shutdown hit me the hardest especially since it made me feel old under Microsoft's ownership (as I remember the acquisition under then-CEO Steve Ballmer back in 2011) plus the fact that my sister back then used it constantly for communication
As the curtain is about to close on 2025 I'll be honest despite the year being hell for most of us there were some interesting things happened

April: Microsoft celebrated their half century
May: Skype shuts down after 22 years (14 under Microsoft)
June: New PCs which replaced my Covid-era laptop

Arch Linux no longer includes the proprietary driver for older NVIDIA GPUs.

If You Have an Older NVIDIA GPU on Arch Linux, Your System Might Be Broken
But it's not entirely Arch Linux's fault. This stems from NVIDIA dropping Pascal support and Arch's decision to push legacy drivers to AUR.

We're happy to announce that we have raised the upload limit for free users to 2 hours daily, 8 hours weekly.

This opens the door for things like gameplays, podcasts, and feature-length content, reducing the need to split into multiple parts.

About time that Libreoffice would get rid of the 'Community" tagline starting with 26.2 that is slated for release next year

Honestly though I was about to say because as someone that has been using Libreoffice for a few years now it doesn't make sense anymore

As Microsoft is retiring Publisher next year in October I will be switching over to Scribus for the foreseeable future as I'm a supporter of FOSS

It's quite sad honestly because it was from my understanding still popular and out of nowhere a BT company kills its development

Like between this and the new ToU back in February I'm glad that I never went back and went straight to Librewolf since it removes all that bullshit

It's quite sad what they turned into especially after being created by Netscape in 1998 and they betrayed the trust of keeping the web open
Honestly though as a former FF user Mozilla has no idea what their doing anymore especially since no matter what CEO they are under they keep going in circles for things when in reality they need to start listening to the community

Like the damage has already been done for their reputation

And I still remember when the system requirements first came to be and it was Vista 2.0 (if anyone remember Vista also had high system requirements) because of the high system requirements for 11 since it made millions of unsupported PCs being left behind
Microsoft really pulled another Vista moment
Hard to believe that Windows 11 will be 5 next year and I still remember when it first came out because it's really (along with Windows 10) what kickstarted my interest in IT

Like I still get that it's a mixed bag especially with how Microsoft is treating their users and the AI bloat but still

And I get asked about why I chose this layout for my Spacehey

Well Windows XP was my first OS that I ever used and it made a huge impact on my childhood even if it meant that I was not tech savvy back then which is why for my Spacehey I wanted a layout that represented a OS that I grew up with
Literally found this layer on SpaceHey out of nowhere as I wanted something to represent a OS that I grew up with

Windows XP layout is what it's called

Yeah came and went in a bad way which I won't get into

As for my greatest accomplishment getting a part time job and new PCs
We're almost to the end of 2025. 😲 The year's really flown by, hasn't it?

What's your greatest #gamedev accomplishment this year? We'd love to celebrate your wins! 🎉

My new Arch VM is complete

I was going to do this on my laptop but my external SSD is for my video production work hence is why my desktop was chosen
