As Microsoft is retiring Publisher next year in October I will be switching over to Scribus for the foreseeable future as I'm a supporter of FOSS

It's quite sad honestly because it was from my understanding still popular and out of nowhere a BT company kills its development

Like between this and the new ToU back in February I'm glad that I never went back and went straight to Librewolf since it removes all that bullshit

It's quite sad what they turned into especially after being created by Netscape in 1998 and they betrayed the trust of keeping the web open
Honestly though as a former FF user Mozilla has no idea what their doing anymore especially since no matter what CEO they are under they keep going in circles for things when in reality they need to start listening to the community

Like the damage has already been done for their reputation

Alright well I've decided that I will be running VMs on my laptop but it will only be Arch and CachyOS as both are lightweight Linux distributions plus my external SSD is mainly for my video production work

And I still remember when the system requirements first came to be and it was Vista 2.0 (if anyone remember Vista also had high system requirements) because of the high system requirements for 11 since it made millions of unsupported PCs being left behind
Microsoft really pulled another Vista moment
Hard to believe that Windows 11 will be 5 next year and I still remember when it first came out because it's really (along with Windows 10) what kickstarted my interest in IT

Like I still get that it's a mixed bag especially with how Microsoft is treating their users and the AI bloat but still

And I get asked about why I chose this layout for my Spacehey

Well Windows XP was my first OS that I ever used and it made a huge impact on my childhood even if it meant that I was not tech savvy back then which is why for my Spacehey I wanted a layout that represented a OS that I grew up with
Literally found this layer on SpaceHey out of nowhere as I wanted something to represent a OS that I grew up with

Windows XP layout is what it's called

Yeah came and went in a bad way which I won't get into

As for my greatest accomplishment getting a part time job and new PCs
We're almost to the end of 2025. 😲 The year's really flown by, hasn't it?

What's your greatest #gamedev accomplishment this year? We'd love to celebrate your wins! 🎉

My new Arch VM is complete

I was going to do this on my laptop but my external SSD is for my video production work hence is why my desktop was chosen

Really enjoying my Galaxy S25

Never going back to Google Pixel because honestly though their phones have went downhill in recent years especially with the amount of hardware issues plus they are not as high quality as Samsung

Like celebrating Microsoft's half century this year hit different for me after learning about his human side of the story

It's quite sad and honestly I can see why that antitrust case from the DOJ happened because of his ambition and the need to control everything like it was gonna come back to him
Yikes after seeing more pictures of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates hanging out with Epstein that gave me more reasons to lose my respect for him like I already stopped acknowledging his contributions at Microsoft after learning about what he did to Paul and his later issues before he left in 2021

Since I got a new phone today I honestly hate how some people hate how I didn't get the S25 Ultra

As much as I wanted to I didn't have the money for it plus the closest phone I would've went with if I had the extra money is the S25+

Wow ok so now Mozilla is considering blocking ad blockers in Firefox

Then again I'm glad that I ditched FF months ago after 16 years because at this point they are just digging their grave deeper especially since it's become nothing but greed
December 19, 2025 at 3:33 AM
Yeah Mozilla at this point is digging their grave even deeper

Like I'm glad that I jumped to Librewolf months ago because the ToU introduction was the final nail in the coffin for me as a FF user and since then the browser has gotten worse with AI and I'm glad I never went back
One of the reasons why I now think Vivaldi is BETTER than Firefox: Not only did they NEVER choose to rely on AI, but their Mastodon instance is still going strong, while Mozilla already killed their own.
I'm glad that I ditched Firefox months ago because the browser continues to get worse and worse like the ToU introduction was the last straw for me and jumped ship to LibreWolf and haven't looked back since

Like what happened to the Mozilla I grew up with especially since they are supposed to be the spiritual successor to Netscape because they were the ones that created the project for a reason after they open source their browser in 1998 to keep the web open

I should mention that despite my preference being Samsung I only bought a Crucial portable SSD as I could not afford another Samsung portable SSD plus the brand going extinct in 2026
It..had...arrived for my desktop PC

I'm definitely keeping this Crucial SSD as a reminder about what Micron did and it's a decision they will regret especially for backstabbing the fanbase as the brand was still extremely popular

Good I'm glad Microsoft isn't featured this time around because it tells us of how annoying they have gotten with their weird obsession with AI
Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" is dedicated to AI pioneers.

Microsoft is nowhere to be found, underscoring the company's inability to be taken seriously at AI frontier.
