I’m honored to have the endorsement of Lt. Gov. @garlingilchrist.bsky.social. I have long respected his transformative work for the State of Michigan, and I’m deeply grateful for our relationship and his faith in my vision for Ann Arbor’s Fourth Ward. secure.actblue.com/donate/sova2...

Dan has brought the ward 1 recipts. #a2Council
Before she was a 1st Ward candidate, Rebecca Arends was a vocal Jeff Hayner defender, even writing a long email to #a2council defending him as "a devoted father, [and] compassionate neighbor" and arguing that his use of a homophobic slur in a FB post was "none of [Council's] or my business."

I'm really excited that @aidansova.bsky.social announced his candidacy for the Ann Arbor City Council. He'll be great. Too bad I got redistricted out of Ward 4, or I'd be thrilled to vote for him. www.mlive.com/news/ann-arb...

“One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss.”

“Which means that Copenhagen, a city of 1.2 million people, saves $357 million a year on health costs because something like 80% of its population commutes by bike.” #CityMakingMath

Some costs aren’t costs.
One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss
Copenhagen, the bicycle-friendliest place on the planet, publishes a biannual Bicycle Account, and buried in its pages is a rather astonishing fact.

Berkley Ave is right by the stadium and has 32 parcels. There are a couple vacant lots, 1 duplex, and everything else is a single family home. 15 of them, or 45%, do not have PREs. This is in line with the numbers presented in the article. Seems this is less a condo issue and more a location issue

This is a good thread about the latest Mlive #a2Council condo article.
I've read this article, and I really dislike it. I used to be a former PRE auditor, and so I get why they look at it, but it definitely needs to be taken with a grain of salt, instead of being used as fact as the article suggests #a2council
MLive/The Ann Arbor News reviewed tax records for a dozen high-end condo developments, finding 40% of units are not owners' primary residences.
