While I was away from Twitter/Threads/etc. I got used to the absence of social media in my life. Now I realize that I just don't have the energy for this stuff anymore. So I'm gonna spend less time on BlueSky proper and just use the RSS feeds from any announcement-focused accounts I follow.

After about 3 days of work, I got DLSS to work on NVK (the open source NVIDIA driver in Mesa)! 🎉

DLSS is essentially just some launched Cuda kernels, so it was just a matter of implementing the VK_NVX_binary_import and VK_NVX_image_view_handle extensions.

In a WIN for Indiana students, a federal court denies the state's request to dismiss a pro-voting lawsuit challenging a ban on the use of student IDs for voting. The court said pro-voting groups have reasonably shown that the law was motivated by unconstitutional intentional age discrimination.

Mewbert does not wish to relinquish this comfortable place to nap. Nougat wants a lap to nap on too. There will not be peace in this house tonight.

Let's be clear a what's happening here: the "censorship" and "bias" narrative is being extended to Wikipedia bc the far right knows that getting bullshit into LLMs is how to shape reality as "answer engines" replace search engines.

Wikipedia is core to that fight so the grievance blitz is here.

As someone who worked as a "Cultural Consultant" on Veilguard, the idea that EA is now owned by the groups it's owned by is hugely disheartening.

We are worse off as an industry if Bioware ends up pressured to back down from attempting progressive themes in their games due to who owns EA.
