Reposting this great thread from @bcdreyer.social on the etiquette of social media responses. And pinning.

7. Don't quoteskeet anyone to dunk on what they just said unless you're doing it with the full understanding that they are quite likely to detach their skeet from yours and then block you.
bcdreyer.social
1. Don't snitch-tag.
2. Don't explain to people what they just said.
3. Don't "correct" people's jokes.
4. Don't respond seriously to silly little posts.
5. Don't respond trivially to obviously serious posts.
6. Don't "jocularly insult" people you don't know.

The rest is commentary.

Democrats should take note. Greene, like a number of Republicans (and AOC, too), just say their piece and don’t have a pre-planned posture or tone. They just mouth off—and it’s authentic. That’s the way to communicate. (Talking to you Spanberger, Schumer, etc.)
danadelibovi.bsky.social
Thank you!!!! WTF are Democrats doing—for the nth time😱

I've never seen a picture of Husker Du where they looked like they enjoyed each other's company or wanted to be taking the picture. Really adds to the mystique.

I expected tyranny. I did not expect the stratospheric level of ass-kissing.

This morning I am trying to refocus on constructive things. Praying to resist the temptation to react to what the regime does. I know what they do. What am I doing?—that's the important thing.
Street painting in blues and greens, over a door and a wall. Salamanca, Spain.

So beautifully said. Everyone with direct action experience says don’t sign up, keep the traceable footprint as light as possible. I’m a newbie at direct action but trying to learn from people who know what they are doing.

She’s running to take back the seat she would have kept handily without shenanigans from the STL Democratic party and a A*PAC. I’m all in for this. www.coribush.org

St. Louis deserves better. Cori Bush is running to represent Missouri’s 1st District (MO-1) in Congress.

She’s super smart, but not in the ways that matter when you must interact with lots of people. (I know our current prez is really nasty, but it’s part of his cult leader status—others can’t pull it off). I’m sure California has a better option or two.

I am reposting this from @leftistlawyer.com because there are people on here who think it’s “brave” to RSVP with your email to a protest. But in reality, it’s foolish. Show up but don’t sign up.
leftistlawyer.com
Also, for the same reason:

NEVER sign up for or RSVP to a protest. I don't care who is running it. Don't do it.

NEVER bring your phone to a protest or action and if you absolutely must, disable all location services and biometrics.
leftistlawyer.com
Reminder that everything you post can be seen by law enforcement.

Be smart, especially now, and don't snitch on yourself. Posting specifics about actions or promoting violence on social media is just a bad idea. There's a reason organizers and activists use Signal. You can't resist from a cage.
danadelibovi.bsky.social
That is simply not true!
danadelibovi.bsky.social
Why is it spineless to attend without signing up? That just seems smart. Once more—I am not saying don’t show up. I am saying don’t sign up, which is the advice of people very experienced at this.
danadelibovi.bsky.social
I am not saying dont do direct action! But just show up, don’t sign up. This can be done in most areas. Check out @leftistlawyer.com and @prisonculture.bsky.social

But the point is the records will be there into the future. All in one place. Unambiguous (social media allows more wiggle room, although…not so hot either
danadelibovi.bsky.social
This is very true. But is does bug me that the whole news story leads with the opinions of the average ignoramus, and not a) the existence of Posse Comitatus, b) the need for and lack of enforcement, and then c) public opinion. I am sick of opinions, tweets, posts being reported as the top news.

Laws only work if there is an enforcement mechanism...THAT is the problem with all of this...Who is going to stop them?
danadelibovi.bsky.social
You said it! When are these goofballs going to stop asking for an email and name to RSVP! It’s utterly unsafe under current conditions. Shows they don’t understand the gravity of the situation at all.
