One of my favorite poems too, especially these last 9 years. The futility of narcissistic power grubbing couldn’t be more clear—as history and art show us time & again—yet here we are, still sculpting the doomed statues of these men who never learn. Unreal

One of Shelley's drafts of Ozymandias, which is my favorite poem. The last line, "The lone and level sands stretch far away," runs in my head day in and day out. Shelley got the whole of power-mad humanity in these fourteen lines. Reminds me that each poem is a stand-alone work of art.

Kelli Russell Agodon’s essay is a classic! #poetry #fiction #literarymagazine #publishing
Hey women and non-binary writers—this essay, “Submit Like a Man,” gives one important reason why men publish more poetry—they submit their work with abandon! It’s by the poet and editor Kelli Russell Agodon and it’s well worth a read.

Everything is so boring now. Pantone's color of the year is right up there with every women's clothing retailer offering the same collection of neutral-toned gunny sacks.

And of course, the color of the year is white.

Blessings Dana. 💐
I am a big fan of László Aranyi’s poetry. He’s a surrealist of immense power. I love his subjects, mood, and creativity in both verbal and visual forms. He’s a kindred spirit to another artist here on 🦋, @rfredekenter.bsky.social and his imprint @icefloepress.bsky.social. Check out Aranyi’s work👇
