The creative you saw/experienced/listened to 100% knows everything they fucked up, didn't get right, or totally whiffed on. Telling them that you enjoyed what they did anyway, especially now, can be the difference between them quitting forever because of all that and keeping going.

Please tell us!
I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice
I will never understand what happened at the end of the first half. Was like they had a Gentlemen's Agreement to run out the half even though Ohio State had three timeouts plus the two minute warning and were way out on the good foot. Any score would've changed the game, and they never scored again.
Indiana finished with 57 plays and Ohio State finished with 56, incredible teamwork when it comes to We're Only Doing So Much Offense

Indiana was the worst team in college football for 150 years and then they let you start paying players and they immediately became No. 1 and the only conclusion one can draw is they were the only ones who didn’t realize you could pay players under the table for the first 150 years.

They're gonna line Ohio State up against Oregon in the 8/9 to have the Big Ten second-best game we didn't get this year or Notre Dame or Miami in the 5/12 to get them the hell out of there.

Watching by far the greatest moment in the 127-year history of Indiana Hoosiers football. Sure seems like conference titles still matter

I don't think there's any question. To get here in two years is craaaaaaaaaaaazy.
Best (D-I/FBS) coaching job of my lifetime.

modern life is alienating - old times probably were too - but the particular "burden" of the modern man is that women have enough freedom to not put up with their fucking shit because they make their own money and don't get pregnant every time they fuck a loser before they realize who he is

These guys I knew in college bought an alligator right before senior year started (August 2004), couple of them swore they knew animals and would take good care of it, but after a couple weeks of this thing hissing and snapping in their bathtub they took it back. We were just happy no one got hurt.
This is a crazy example of a more persistent problem in the reptile trade though: a lot of these animals are quite difficult to keep (healthy and happy, at least) and many of them grow into quite large, formidable animals. It's serious issue that many venders sell them with zero vetting

We didn't do anything wrong > We can't have done anything wrong > We only did like one thing wrong > Okay, we did a couple things wrong, but it's fine > That guy told me to murder everybody > The president told that guy to tell me to murder everybody, and both of them put it in writing, check it out
every squirming amendment to the story they keep dribbling out somehow makes the story worse
EXCLUSIVE: Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military on Sept. 2 to kill all 11 people on a suspected drug-smuggling boat because they were on an internal list of military targets, the commander overseeing the operation told lawmakers, according to multiple sources.

If I told you Indiana has beaten Ohio State twice since 1951, in consecutive years in the late 1980s, and only 12 times ever, three of which (25%) happened in 1905 or earlier, would that make you care more or less about that interception?

I know MLS is supposed to be important to American soccer fans and it's not fun or cool to be snide about a league that is growing and changing in interesting ways but it's also hard to take it seriously as a casual viewer when the title game play-by-play sounds like a 2010s Champions League final.

Took my family of four to a movie today and lunch afterward. 2 adults/2 kids to a 10:30 AM show were $45. Concessions for four people were $50. Chik-fil-A afterward was $47. I did not wake up today intending to spend $150 to go to a morning show followed by fast food, but here we are.
After the recent joy of Hard Boiled in a packed theater it hit me that one of the tragedies of capitalism’s manifestation of our tech age is that on top of imprisoning us in gilded cages disconnected from shared reality, they are transforming communal experience into an expensive, uncommon novelty.
James Gunn says theatrical releases are “incredibly important” for DC after the Warner Bros & Netflix merger news

“The communal theatrical experience is something that is incredibly important & remarkably well suited to our big spectacle films”

Boy does Marquette suck dookie this year. Sort of refreshing. One less thing to worry about. Hopefully Shaka spends a little more time on point guards in recruiting for next year. Doesn't matter how many big guys and scorers you got if no one can them the dang ball.
