In prayer, in the creative process, these two parts of ourselves, the mind and the heart, the intellect and the intuition, the conscious and the subconscious mind, stop fighting each other and collaborate.

@safety.bsky.app cc: @bsky.app Your "Rude" setting default to "Hide" is one of the rudest things on this site right now. I don't need you to ASSUME who *I want to read & follow* BECAUSE their commentary is rude or critical. The default here should be "Warn" so readers can then choose Hide or Off.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

The unicorn listened intently. Somewhere in the forest, someone innocent was singing.

The unicorn followed the sound, found the singer, and laid down with their head in the singer's lap.

"bottles of-"

The young orc fell silent, smiled shyly, then resumed singing.

"Beer on the wall..."

Hey romance/historical novels fans! I just found out today that A.J. Demas is here. Maybe you didn't know either, so reposting to get her more follows.
Sometimes I see something on here and I’m just filled with love for humanity. 😊

Click through all the quote reposts; it’s so worth it.
There are strange things done in the desert sun
By the men who chisel stone;
A mocking hand, a sneer of cold command
Lying separate and alone;
Near the wreck’s decay, sands stretch away
But a traveller still can see

I'm teaching an Honors course this semester, and we've been spending a lot of time talking about modes of rhetoric. And this is a point I've come back to over and over again: you have to know which kind of discussion you're having. Democrats, by and large, have failed to understand this.
Democrats often think we’re having a policy discussion. We’re not.

Instead, we need to have a discussion about restoring trust with the American people.

Talis' music is amazing!
SUCH kind words here! ❤️

The link is to my YouTube ‘topic’, but there’s even more on my YouTube *channel* - lots of live gig vid from the past several years.

Welcome kind words on a very rough day. Wrestling a bit with my musical future. Go find a song of mine you like & let me, or Bsky, know, hey?
4) 'Archetype Cafe', Talis Kimberley
Don't misunderstand me, @taliskimberley.bsky.social is ABSOLUTELY one of my top favorite performers, but she's not as widely known as she *deserves*. When I first heard her at OVFF in 2000 it was life-altering (come back soon, Talis!). youtu.be/QTcrhu-mLWM?...
