Another witness to Anderson Cooper: “Now is not the time to stay silent. We all need to be a little bit brave, and do what we can to stand up for our rights.”

For the amazing on-the-ground heroes in MN: it would be sooo valuable for you talk to media. We need to show that it’s just regular folks who are standing up for their neighbors.

If you would like media training to help you feel comfortable doing that, please hmu

Incredibly bravery of Stella in those horrifying moments, and incredible bravery of her to come forward publicly.

We need more of the brave, everyday Minnesotans to speak to media and humanize the extraordinary nonviolent resistance they are performing.

Brooklyn is ashamed of @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and @schumer.senate.gov

Just disgraceful

Hard to tell if it’s in his waistband or a holster, but the murdered man’s gun was pulled from his back side. He didn’t brandish it. He didn’t even take it out. They disarmed him then executed him.

If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

As a New Yorker who is proud of all the things we do well and thinks that ICE would get its ass kicked by New Yorkers’ civic spirit….Philly? Y’all will get absolutely WRECKED by Philly.

For whatever of Trump’s tariffs survive, seems like a gift to the next Dem president. “I’m repealing the Trump Tax and you should expect to see prices come down quickly.”

One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.
This dude is intense and correct

Strange to me that electeds aren’t flocking to Minneapolis to bear witness to the occupation of an American city

Would be cool if some District of MN judges showed the same courage as Judges Ellis, Cummings and others did in Chicago

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

You could be next.

This is Minneapolis:

Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

More resignations in the DOJ--these from career officials in Minnesota office objecting to DOJ's push to investigate the widow of Renee Good and reluctance to investigate the shooter, Ross. A seismic scandal - This is the biggest politicized mess of a case in memory and it's not going away.
