There is still not an agreement for the exact date of the Australia game. The NFL is targeting this as the Monday Night Football matchup in Week 1, which would mean a noon start on a Tuesday in Melbourne. Sides will meet after the Super Bowl to discuss further.
From some Australian sources, I believe the initial plan was going to be Rams-Seahawks in Australia.

But since I'd guess that logistically would be a Week 1 game because of the travel involved, having the Seahawks in the Super Bowl and potentially opening the season with a win changed the matchup

So the soft schedule is a knock against Drake Maye, but not Mike Vrabel. Am I understanding that correctly?

By percentage increase, the low-end $301M figure would actually be the lowest jump since the cap dipped in 2021. The high-end figure would be more in-line with the jumps since then.

Over The Cap had their 2026 projections based on a $295M cap, so if you've been looking at those figures it's a bump.
The NFL informed clubs today it is projecting a 2026 salary cap in the range of $301.2 million to $305.7 million per club, per source.

That would represent another significant jump from this year’s $279.2 million cap number, and nearly $100M than the $208.2M cap in 2022.

*whispers* from Week 10 on, J.J. McCarthy had higher EPA/play than Sam Darnold

The idea was the system was good enough that throwing a younger cheaper quarterback in there would be fine. The start was incredibly rough, but I don't think the thought was wrong.
the real bad move was drafting 9

The Darnold optics aren't great (still think that decision was the right process) and that's going to be what some people fixate on, but Vikings are also one of the oldest teams in the league that have needed to stack the roster with free agent signings to make up for a lack of hits in the draft.
The Vikings are firing GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, a source tells The Athletic.
