MOVIE #7 (*cough*It'saTVminiseries*cough) This is my favourite discovery of the year - I AM DEAD (2023) is like ENTER THE VOID, but as a ghost comedy made in Japan with an early 2000s sheen. Very funny and deeply moving. You'll want to get a Mini-Disc player.

It is bonafide one of the best platformers from its era. Something so pleasurable about being in that world. Moving the style into the darker aesthetic/tone in Jak 2, I feel it lost something along the way.

If you think you know why US newspapers died, this feature documentary now streaming for free on PBS might surprise you. It wasn't the Internet. Newspapers were specifically targeted by vulture capitalists.
