Social media is usually pretty stale for me. 🕯️. Books, sewing, nature, and general witchery are welcome . 🕯️🕯️

Fair Folk Podcast has been a treasure trove of wisdom for me.

The conversation in the latest episode couldn’t have felt more timely considering… well... you know… *broadly gestures at everything*

This whole thread is so important.

📚 Get a library card
📚 Check out local bookstores and bookshop.org
📚 Think about joining or starting a book club to foster knowledge & community

I will remind you, as many times as necessary, to buy physical books and media.
Just as greedy corporations can erase entire movies at any moment when those *don't reflect their values* by order of any political leader.
Nothing will stop them from doing that with your #esotericbooks and #ebooks too.

Hell yeah, starting to turn orange 🧡🎃🤘
Covered by vines, a large green pumpkin, with a touch of orange peeking at the top near the stem, sits in the garden along a wooden fence.

Trying to focus on small, cozy moments and self-care for this autumn equinox.
Center is the wool card (44) from the Mabon Seasons of the Witch Oracle deck. The card is surrounded by stones, a vase of dried flowers, a golden grasshopper, a small spell bottle, and a pentacle charm.

As you cancel streaming services, here is a casual reminder that only 16% of Americans read for pleasure anymore, and your local library has hundreds or thousands of books you haven't read.

They would love to see you stop by and renew your library card.

Tonight is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. May his memory remind us all to resist the tyranny forming in our government.

Okay maybe a dumb question but how the fuck am I supposed to make friends when I have small children and everyone is just barely surviving as it is?

I don’t really feel alive until I’m walking through really sticky, yet completely unseen spider webs.

Simple neuroscience-based hack for anxiety:
🌿go & be in a place with plants & trees for 15 mins
🌳You'll inhale plant oils(phytoncides) from foliage
📉your stress hormone(cortisol) will drop significantly

Many of our brain pathways evolved to motivate us to forage for plants-they're still very active

I signed up for a silent book club. I had no idea silent book clubs existed but they truly sound like the perfect social event for introverts.

Paid respects to a cow named Colantha over the weekend. I offered her a really nice stone that I found nearby.

Colantha Walker was a milking cow at the Northern Michigan Asylum in Traverse City, MI until she died in 1932.

Every time my daughter goes outside, she brings home leaves, sticks, and rocks that she finds interesting. We offer them up to our houseplants, but I’m not sure we’ll make it to summer without complete ground cover. Our banana tree is already looking pretty rich with trinkets.
A potted banana tree with various leaves, sticks, 2 mushroom-shaped watering spikes, a small pink garden gnome, and a small fairy house adorned with a blue flower rooftop.
