Judaism and Israel have always been and always will be intertwined, for better or worse. It's where half the worlds Jews live, so it definitely has a lot to do with Judaism.

They shouldn't get to take Palestinian homes. What's happening with settlers in the West Bank, for instance, is atrocious. We could go back decades and centuries arguing over who took land from who. It's not as simple as a bunch of "colonizers" taking homes from Palestinians.

I'm not sure what to make of all that. I think I'll just say that if you walk into almost any synagogue, you'll find an Israeli flag. If you read from any Jewish prayerbook(ones that date back 100s of years), Israel is mentioned hundreds of times. Zionism isn't meant to be what you think it is.

Instead we get bomb threats, swastikas, shootings in synagogues, harassed at Hillel's/JCCs/colleges, and called "baby-killers" and "genocide" apologists.

But no missiles, (so far).

Having spent more time with Rabbis than you, I'm assuming, I've yet to meet one that rejects zionism completely.
