"Fear and obey" wow.....
I am not live posting the whole argument here because I want to listen closely to Trump v. Slaughter. But the solicitor general for Trump just said the point here in killing the independence of agencies like the FTC is that executive branch officers must “fear and obey” the president. Wow. #SCOTUS

Trainwreck? In October 2024, The Economist called Biden's economy "the envy of the world."
BARTIROMO: What are you expecting the president's economic message to be?

SEN. McCORMICK: I think the message is that we inherited a trainwreck from the Biden administration and we made a lot of progress

I've been saying this for a year now: the Democrats have missed a gigantic political opportunity--and, at this point, have failed in an ethical obligation--to create a shadow-government health department that dispenses medically accurate information, guidance, and advice.

Kavanaugh stops. Because living in a police state where every day you get screamed at, dragged out of your car and physically abused just because …

is how True Americans should aspire to live
Brett Kavanaugh sees no problem with this woman being forced to do this every day for the rest of her life
“Traumatized, humiliated, degraded.”

The nurse, a US citizen, 4’11”, 85 lbs, says she was following orders when she was dragged out of her car by masked immigration agents in Florida.

It was the 3rd time she had been stopped and told to produce ID.

the word layoffs doesn't even appear in this article

It's just all analysts chirping away about synergies

media coverage of itself and its endless consolidation doesn't think labor, consumers, or creatives are actually relevant to anything

Former roommate was in the room when they were trying to unwind the TimeWarner-AOL merger

Utter idiocy: “So what’s the plan?” “What? We thought YOU had the plan.”

Much screaming ensued but in the end, all the lawyers got fat and creatives got screwed
I promise this today and forever as founder and chief of editorial (and wearer of many other hats at this organization): @equalaccesspublicmedia.org will *never* ever merge with Time Warner or Netflix or Paramount or Disney or any of them.

We promise.
as you dig through coverage of the Netflix Warner Bros merger, play a little game with me:

notice how many of them mention, at ALL, the two decade history of disastrous previous Time Warner mergers, and the massive layoffs, price hikes, and quality erosion that resulted
