Seven million marched for democracy on October 18, but polls suggest more than 120 million Americans agree with them. The Silent Majority for Democracy examines what that means, why it matters, and how the republic’s survival now depends on whether belief becomes action.
This Is What Democracy Looks Like
Seven million Americans in the streets. A hundred million more behind them. The movement to reclaim the republic is already here.

The people who came out to protest, not knowing if there would be agitators or insane gunmen incited by StinkyAssolini and his regime, have more courage than all of corporate media who I'm sure are too afraid to ask your question.
Bigger turnout than any Lobo game!

We need deep systemic change as suggested by Limits to Growth....
One thing is clear: renewables don’t fit within the political economy of neoliberal capitalism.

We have to choose between the profits of oil producers, and the health and prosperity of entire societies. But our politicians
care more about the former than the latter.

How the rich world lost the race to renewable energy
Renewables are booming in the global South – but vested interests and corrupt governments are blocking progress in the global North.

This is a social sadism that should not be considered normal. A stress that may have a long term impact on these people is inhumane.
They are the same, oh no! Trump did pardon them for January insurrection.
Devotees of "violence providing redemption", it is so stupid and getting stupider..
I am in El Paso now, one of the safest places in the US as it has been for years. Danger is from MAGA gunners shooting up our stores..
Echoed in "Omnivores Deceptions".. both need to be abandoned...
" A double helix of destruction: Speciesism and Capitalism"
John’s book is essential reading. Especially for omnivores. I have read many books in regards to the utter depravity of animal agriculture and not one of them touches ‘The Omnivore’s Deception’.
After 12+ years of labor, "The Omnivore's Deception" is out today. I chronicle the rise of the meat industry, show its catastrophic ecological effects, demolish the myth of the "enlightened" omnivore, show why animals are worthy of our respect, and advocate the abolition of the animal food economy.
Well said!... Dignity....
Citing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social says his democratic socialism is about "better distribution of wealth for all of God's children."

It's so clear that there's a huge number of professionals in the US who carry with them traumatic memories of being excluded, laughed at, or looked down up on by the Smart Kids and who have basically made hostility to Smart Kids their entire personality, ideology, & worldview.
They think only some people are worthy of dignity, those like themselves. That is not a wise or mature mindset.
Kirk did not get into West Point.....
Donate them to the Humane Society thrift shop, did the same a short while ago!

It’s not just Trump the entirety of the fascist governmental infrastructure down to the state level is starting to turn up the volume on their Stochastic violence and attempts to target opposition voices with overt threats of death.

America is spiraling faster into the abyss now.
Thank you , Sarah..
She kind of glazes over the death and destruction part, but you might like her general sentiment on how collapse awareness can improve your life.

Thoughtful discussion of something i don't like to thinl about.
This is insane, if true. Monumental lying from this administration and law inforcement.
This is a mature and needed discussion...goes to the core of morals... from mores, customs.
