Latest video. Continuing the autumnal theme, I head out to woodland I have never visited before to see what I can capture. Unfortunately it had been partly felled, but even so I still managed to find a few shots before moving on to try some landscape shots. youtu.be/83zZBDuKdX8?...

A couple of shots captured while out filming this morning. One of a Grey Heron in natural looking surroundings and one in front of some waste water and storm overflow pipes above the river. #greyheron #birdphotography #rivertees #teesdale #countydurham #photography
In this video I head out to capture some early autumn images in a local woodland. Mist, fungi, spiders, waterfalls and of course autumnal colours, all make for a really nice photo opportunities. #autumn #fall #photography #macrophotography #fungi #landscapephotography youtu.be/6rlUff1EY-c?...

We have some ideal conditions for fungi at the moment in the UK. Not sure of the ID, but possibly one of the Galerina species.

Dunfermline Foodbank is typical in that we need to purchase a van load of food most months to supplement donations. Stocks of food in the warehouse are lower than a year ago as the cost of living crisis hits. If you are able please donate when you buy your grocery shopping @trussellscot.bsky.social
💬 “As the foodbank enters its busiest autumn/winter period, it is vitally important we receive food donations from our community so that we can help those in crisis.
Public food donations to Monmouth's foodbank have fallen by 55% in three years, which meant we had to buy in food last autumn/winter.
Lots of fungi about at the moment. This small black and white fungus looks like the wick of a snuffed out candle, hence the name, Candle Snuff Fungus.

Yesterday we had a rather atmospheric frosty morning in Teesdale with a gentle mist moving through the trees.

Sorry to find out about your injury Jon, hope you have the speediest of recoveries and soon get back to the outdoors. PS this is the first time in a long time you have appeared on my timeline. Bad news must be prioritised by the algorithm and travels fast.
The low river levels due to the dry summer has allowed me to get a bit of a different view of the Castle here without getting my wet feet. Location Barnard Castle, Teesdale County Durham, England, UK.

That's a lovely viewpoint and one that often has some atmospheric clouds over the hills, I have never seen it with a cloudless blue sky though 👍
Thanks, nature is very good at giving us photographers some wonderful colour to capture isn't it. Keeps us busy ☺️
I love to sit and listen to the calls of Grouse, which seem to start around dawn. Photography wise there doesn't seem to be great numbers on the north Pennines moors this year.

It was, it's a lovely place to sit a while and soak in the atmosphere ☺️
A lot of the becks in Teesdale and the wider Pennines are beautifully clear at the moment as there is no peat sediment being washed into them due to the lack of rain. #Teesdale #LandscapePhotography #CountyDurham #NorthPennines
Thank Mick, I was very fortunate to get such nice light ☺️
Beautiful light Armand, love it ☺️
