Lots of new people on here lately so I think it’s time for a reintroduction post

Hi! I’m Darren, I am very much into #Astrophotography and #Astronomy. I love McLaren #F1 and have been a fan for 30 years. I would love to get started over here, so here’s some of my images

Still working on processing but wanted to show the beautiful tail of Comet Lemmon from my last session. It's about 100 minutes worth of data here. Hoping to catch it again tonight if the weather allows.

Here’s 7 hrs of M33 for your viewing pleasure!

I love all space photos, but I’m a galaxy lover at heart. The Triangulum is at the sweet spot in size that makes it one of the more approachable targets for mid-focal length telescopes (400-600mm).

It's the Crab! The Crab Nebula to be precise. Messier's Number One (M1) in his famous catalog of fuzzy objects in 1758.

My fifth attempt to collect a decent image. Two clear hours before sunrise for this one.

The Crab Nebula (Messier 1) is
a luminous supernova remnant located in the constellation Taurus, about 6,500 light-years from Earth. It is the aftermath of a massive star's death, which exploded in a supernova observed by astronomers in 1054

At the heart of the nebula is the Crab Pulsar, a rapidly spinning, highly magnetized neutron star with a diameter of about 17–19 miles (28–30 km). It rotates approximately 30 times per second and emits beams of radiation that sweep past Earth like a lighthouse.

Taking advantage of the clear nights we've been seeing this past week. A shot of M33, the Triangulum Galaxy from the backyard near Ottawa 🇨🇦.
About 1500, 30s frames shot over 2 nights, stacked in the Dwarf3 robotic 🔭 and run through their Stellar Studio tool.

NGC7497 A dusty galaxy in Pegasus This spiral edge on galaxy is located almost 60 million light years away. It is visible in this image hiding behind the integrated flex nebula, a faint cloud of interstellar dust within our own Milky Way galaxy
Shot from my backyard , September 2025 .

My internet died and my first stream was forcefully ended. New stream: youtube.com/live/kv12afL...

When will science & evidence become central to reporting & public opinion. Without alternatives to fossil fuels we only have a future of hardship. The evidence is now to strong. But millionaires need to keep the status quo. #StupidHumans

Thought for the day!
If 1 million seconds is 12 days 1 billion seconds is over 31 years. That mean 424 billion is over 13 thousand years. That means #ElonMusk could spend a $ per second for 13000 years. There is no justification for #Billionaires

Simple tastes extra mature cheddar is my go to. Having said that, I like most cheeses that I have tried. I am partial to a good bit of Stilton!
