I was fascinated to see if I could take a very wide field image of the constellation Triangulum and have the Triangulum Galaxy show up, even faintly. I'm not saying it's easy to see, but it's in there. Including an annotated version. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

And while I was at it, one of my favorite asterisms, the distinctive "V" of the Hyades. The bright red star is Aldebaran, the eye of the bull in Taurus. The full(ish) moon was rising in a split second, so I was trying to get creative. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is an incredible image of comet 3I/ATLAS, taken by Satoru Murata ICQ Comet Observations group on 16 November 2025 from western New Mexico.
Structure within the major dust tail from the comet is clearly visible, together with two smaller jets trailing the nucleus and maybe even an anti-tail.

Progress update on the M31 project. This is 8 hours of one shot color with the FMA 135 and ASI 585MC. For a small scope with a filter and light polluted skies, this is coming along nicely!
