I need to get in better habit of actually sharing my sketches. I forget how fire some of them are.

The dialogue on the sketch goes as follows:

Well, almost two weeks later, I've kicked Covid.

Now I've got to deal with the unpleasant lingering symptoms.
So I'm not sick anymore, but I still feel sick regardless.

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Looking back through the years, I've definitely declined in activity as well. Art has either fallen out of favor compared to other hobbies. or I've become too critical of myself and it feels less fun to do.

So I definitely relate to that sentiment.
