I've seen two different "I am sorry for voting for funding" Democrats so far today.

Just resign. You'll do more for this country without power than you clearly could with it.

I literally just had the thought of "I better not spill this tea on myself while recording the class. Who knows what swear will end up on the recording" immediately followed by hitting my side table, knocking over the tea onto my class notes, and, reader, the swearing was off the recording.

Who could have foreseen this and, perhaps, understood that voting for murderous thugs led by incompotent sycophants would result in more murderous thuggery?
A few days ago, Rep. Laura Gillen was one of 7 House Democrats who voted with Republicans to fund DHS without the policy changes most Dems wanted. Now she’s calling for impeaching Kristi Noem. Politics are rapidly shifting here.

A martyr for freedom and liberty. Say what you will about the VA, but this is the way.
Rest in Peace Alex Jeffrey Pretti🙏🏾 The VA ICU Nurses send him off right 💔

If this is an accurate source of information, ICE is active on Forest Ave, which runs from Grymes Hill to the Goethals Bridge, and St. George; the major transit hub.

Its where you'd operate if you were literally cutting off the most Democratic and racially diverse sector of the borough.

This is horrific but expected. These thugs will simply murder more people until forced not to.
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

The fatal shooting of a VA nurse by federal agents marked a new and alarming phase in the battle for Minneapolis. How a city found itself at war with the U.S. government.
The American City That Found Itself at War With the U.S. Government
An escalating showdown between federal and local authorities is playing out on the streets of Minneapolis, making even some Trump supporters uneasy.

The ending of CASINO ROYALE fits my definition of pure cinema.

The perfect end to a perfect film. #HATM

They sort of deal with it in Die Another Day, where Bond spends the title sequence in North Korean captivity, and it clearly does some damage, though Brosnan's back to old tricks pretty quick (though so is Craig here). #CasinoRoyale #HATM

It also set the Guinness Book of World Records for car flips in a movie - the Aston Martin flipped 7 times. The 2024 film The Fall Guy broke that record with 8 and a half. #hatm

Imagine being so incompotence as FBI Director, you need to kick it over to the dog killer to handle the cover up.

(Also, this is not an isolated incident. Last year, during the National Guard deployments, Hegseth also cowtowed to Noem on the issue. It's kind of alarming.)
BARTIROMO: But how was he threatening Border Patrol? How was he using a gun to threaten? He was filming it

KASH PATEL: That's something I'll let DHS because they are investigating that case

(Notable that even Bartiromo seems to be bothered by this!)

Bostonians commemorated the Boston Massacre annually for a dozen years from 1771-1783 or until independence from the government responsible was achieved.
Hugo Lowell told MSNOW that the Trump administration expects that the murder of Alex Pretti will "blow over and go away." They believe that Americans will forget about it in a week or so.

The fact that numerous federal officials, including White House staff, Cabinet members, and the President, declared these people "domestic terrorists" before their blood was cold is where this became a generalized revolt.

If everything is political, and it is, that is where Trump lost this fight.
The deputy White House chief of staff, Stephen Miller, called Pretti a “domestic terrorist” and an “assassin.” In fact, Pretti was a registered nurse working in intensive care at a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital.

This is who he really was.
