Rubio says Venezuela attack was not a military action
Critics of President Donald Trump's administration are alleging that Secretary of State Marco Rubio pledged he wouldn't support a Venezuela invasion. “Rubio said that there were not any intentions to ...

Trump/Hegseth/Rubio killed 40 Venezuelan civilians two days ago. They've been murdering random fishermen for weeks.

Think about that. Really think about that. Think about shaking the hand of someone responsible for that. Think about writing a news article about them and not mentioning that.

The NYT and WashPost knew about the invasion before it happened and held the story to protect the military. Meanwhile Trump watched in a non-secure room and someone bet big in the prediction markets.Maduro would be removed. The Trump admin is a huge security risk that will kill our troops

Commentary on Presidential War Powers.

As relevant now as it was then.
The Trump administration reportedly invoked a 1989 DOJ opinion holding that POTUS can “override” the UN Charter to justify the U.S. military intervention in Venezuela.

I dissect and refute that 1989 legal opinion in this law review article.

When has regime change ever worked out well for America in modern history?
Reporter: How long do you expect the U.S. to run Venezuela

Trump: I would like to do it quickly but it takes time. Their infrastructure is rotted. It is very dangerous. Oil is very dangerous. We will take a lot of money out so we can take care of the country.

TRUMP: “He was persecuted very unfairly.” 🤷🏼

Just spitballing here: maybe someone has an answer.
The Tangerine tyrant said no one knew... However, Like in Iran he would have given a notice to the Venezualan government of an impending attack to clear out civilians to limit casualties. Right?

Reminder: Invading a sovereign nation is illegal under international law, as written in Article 2(4) of the UN Charter--a charter that the US played the key role in writing and which was enacted into US law on July 28, 1945.

Trump is an international and US war criminal.

Trump pardoned two of history's biggest drug traffickers last year.

This is absolutely farcical.

How about an investigation into the story that Trump used to send his underage Mag-a-Lago locker room/massage parlor "attendants" to Epstein's house?

The legal reasoning Trump has given for arresting Maduro is that he violated a 1934 law banning private ownership of machine guns that applies only in the USA, not foreign countries.

The Trump Admin is so incompetent that they can't even concoct a semi-plausible excuse for their illegal actions.

If America threatens and attacks all of our allies, then those countries will turn away from us and seek alliances with other major powers.

China and Russia win by simply doing nothing and letting Trump self-destruct our country.

Remarkable.

Hey Congress? How does it feel to be powerless? No wonder so many GOP are quitting. If they disagreed with their party all they ever had to do was vote against them! Instead their cowardice has given 47 its powers—the purse, exec orders treated as laws and now WAR. DEMOCRACY=COUNTRY OVER PARTY!
