This 👇. My go-to explanation since the boat strikes and navy buildup began in late summer: They're bootstrapping a justification for invoking the Alien Enemies Act to detain and deport people domestically.
I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.

Layoffs have hit over 1.1M so far this year — the most since the pandemic.

Yet corporate profits continue to hit record highs, with corporations increasingly spending those earnings on stock buybacks to enrich execs and shareholders.

This is what a rigged economy looks like.

According to a new study, members of Congressional leadership perform 47% better in stock market trades than their rank-and-file peers, thanks to access to nonpublic information.

Today would be a great day to ban ALL elected officials from trading stock, don't you think?

The public never wanted this to start. The people in position to stop it have apparently already seen it. Beat Cotton into submission and start calling for impeachment
Rand Paul tells me that he wants the full video of the Venezuelan boat strike released.

The campaign to force TikTok to sell or shutter its U.S. platform started out as an effort to counter Chinese influence and power. It’s ending up as an exercise in crony capitalism and political power-grabbing, johncassidysays.bsky.social writes.
Donald Trump’s TikTok Deal Looks Like Crony Capitalism
The sale demonstrates the President’s personal brand of industrial policy—transactional, opaque, and designed to politically benefit him and his allies.

These two gotta go.
