As someone with zero interest in the Super Bowl I have to say that the during the game I feel I weird sort of freedom, like a holiday, in which I know no one will contact me for anything (including spammers) because all eyes are elsewhere. It’s oddly peaceful, my bonus holiday.

My Latino housekeeper hasn’t been able to work for the last two weeks. Today I got this in a text from her:“even you are in danger, and that makes us feel guilty, that good people like you have to pay the consequences.” This really breaks my heart, that she would feel compelled to apologize to me.

This is what really gets me, every time. How is it possible that there are not 23 Republicans with enough moral fiber to stop this?
Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

It's official, we now own a house in Slovenia! We fly out tomorrow and take possession on Monday. Then a busy week getting things ready for our final arrival, hopefully sometime in January. We'll be back in MN just before Thanksgiving and here through the holidays.

It's imperative that our elected reps in congress uphold their oaths of office SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO, not out of some selfish personal benefit/harm calculation. Allowing a president who has engaged in child sex trafficking to stay in office without challenge is simply evil.

If I were Adelita Grijalva I would make a super public big deal about claiming I have changed my mind and won’t sign the Epstein discharge position after all, and then on day one after I’m sworn reveal it was a big fat lie. Take one from the R playbook for once.

We just sent off six wet-signed copies of the purchase contract via DHL Express. I think it is official-official now that we have bought our house in Slovenia! Scheduled to take possession around Nov 17th. So friggin' excited!

By far the worst I’ve ever been laid up from a Covid vaccine. Been running a fever and vomiting for the last 12 hours. Given my immunocompromised status I don’t have the luxury of skipping these. Before you ask, I got Moderna but I don’t think it mattered. My immune system is just pure haywire.
