For disability reasons, it's been somewhat rare that I make it out to actual picket lines when they happen, or that I would hold a sign (my hands are usually on my crutches), but thanks to @rattusrose.bsky.social, I was able to commission what I would look like out there
I almost forgot that I started this year with my whole "trying to get a new wheelchair approved before large changes to healthcare because of moronic administration" thing

I'm calling it now: it's only a matter of time where we get labor case law in the US about the usage of limiting chat and subsequently emoji, as a form of worker organizing suppression.

Ohhhh, this whole time I thought people seeing Wicked: For Good were going to see a version of Wicked, but it's actually good? I had no idea it was a part 2, I thought they just went "man, we made a real stinker huh? Let's try that again"

one of the things that makes me most mad about genAI (and there are many) is we've been told there's not enough money for hiring. but there's billions poured into ai.

so not enough money to hire workers. but infinite money to pour into technology whose goal is never having to pay workers again.

Really clear messaging from the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene. At this point, it's not going to convince a ton of people to start masking, but it may encourage folks who already mask to keep it up - & it may remind others that masking is an expert-recommended NPI, not a weird obsession.

I keep hoping every time that someone at Bungie is going to go "it's not enough for the sandbox to be good, the sandbox, the rewards, and the activities need to be good" and we've been stuck in this cycle of 2 out of 3 of those for a while and I'm tired, Traveler.
Learn about how a selection of Exotic Armor for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks will be changing when Destiny 2: Renegades launches on December 2.

Good morning from DAY FIVE of our national ULP strike!

We're ready to escalate if we don’t see substantial progress toward finalizing contracts that address pay, hours/staffing & the resolution of 100s of ULPs.

I really really really need people to stop memorializing the dead loved ones with AI slop of them. Stop it, do better by the memory of the person you cared about!!!

It's 2025, one of the vtubers I see the most in my feeds is an anime girl who can't leave the house because of a bubble boy situation, the other one is a man who uses an avatar of a burnt peanut who plays shootymans games

I'm finally intending to develop the habit of sending Christmas cards to loved ones this year. It would be neat if I could find some cards online I could buy that would be super lovely and support an artist directly. Anyone know of anything I could look into? I'd probably want a couple dozen at most

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
