Finally, after four tries - finally sub-5. PR feels so good. Time to go eat way too much pizza and ice cream.
My dream of the pinstripe shoulder throwback unis for football is still alive 🙏

Well now I feel ancient that these are considered “throwback” 😠

Suddenly all the mid- to late-2010s Northwestern fandom bits and memes are coming back to me.

Hope we get #FitzInShorts games this September.

Story on Michigan State hiring Pat Fitzgerald.

The feeling around MSU is the donors have re-activated for this hire. Even after the hazing stuff and Fitzgerald's final few years at Northwestern, he still won a lot of games.

NU settled a wrongful termination lawsuit with Fitzgerald in August, after firing him in 2023 over hazing allegations in the program.

And Fitz will field top-notch defenses. He almost always did at Northwestern (save the failed JON experiment), and he learned from Mike Hankwitz, who was the best.

Pat Fitzgerald/MSU thoughts for those who care.

The good:
- good on the field coach
- all of the brand/hype that Tucker had but actually delivers on them with competent coaching
- great fundraiser/relationships with alumni and boosters
- has that “leader of men” trait that you want in a coach

As one of what I can only assume are the very few dual NU/MSU fans, I have lots of thoughts on this. Will try to put them into words later, if any of you care enough to read them.

Feels like there’s a lot of smoke blowing around Fitz to MSU - I’ll just remind all of you that two years ago it was the same people who thought Urban Meyer was coming to EL. I’ll believe it when I see it.

More rivalries with different-enough colors should do this. Gorgeous aesthetic game.
The home vs home jerseys of USC-UCLA remains one of the best looks in college football!😍

Illegal formation, multiple false starts, wasted timeout for having 10 players on the field for a punt.

This is a coaching problem - not a roster problem.

Oh thank god
This is going to be hilarious when we don’t score another point the entire second half and we end up losing

Yeah because AI is being pushed by the 1% who only see it as a tool to cut labor costs and maximize their own worth. No one else wants it.
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption
