We follow @michael-foote.bsky.social here on Bluesky but this video is from TikTok. We are working to translate it to Spanish and will repost it in Spanish shortly. So practical and helpful! Thanks for the crash course educating on the process to consider for anyone taken by ICE!

We all need to watch this. We all need to share it. The fact that ICE is going to schools, tearing children & parents away while they are doing drop off & pick up is abhorrent. Not only are they terrifying those families but all the children who witness this will never forget & will be traumatized!

This!! This is the energy we want to see!!

MAGA is big mad at Zach Bryan for not being a fan of fascism.

They’re mad at Bad Bunny because they don’t know where Puerto Rico is.

Now I really want Bunny to invite Zach to perform with him at the Super Bowl.

From the moment they're born, animals in the meat, dairy, and breeding industry are denied everything natural and important to them. They call them 'projects,' but their future is tragic.

Read the reality for baby animals once the livestock show is over. mercyforanimals.org/blog/livesto...

Speaker Johnson’s claim that the House’s work is done – in the midst of a senseless government shutdown – is a dereliction of duty.

I’m demanding he bring the House back to work and negotiate in good faith to reopen the government, protect your healthcare, and lower costs.

Let's get this done.

On one hand - the US is telling immigrants to get out and even establishing programs to “help”.
On the other hand, those programs don’t seem to work. So, what are disadvantaged immigrants who want to protect their families supposed to do? There is no way to win with this regime #OnYourSide
“I Don’t Want to Be Here Anymore”: They Tried to Self-Deport, Then Got Stranded in Trump’s America
Venezuelan immigrants signed up for a Trump-promoted app called CBP Home, which promised a safe and easy way to leave the country, and prepared to leave on their given departure dates. Those dates hav...

I am begging folks to please not push narratives of the Portland Police being good or different in any way, they have been so horrible here in recent years, they are not to be celebrated

We must be strong advocates to protect our family, friends and neighbors. This son protects his mom from thug ICE agents. When he tells them they racially profiled her, they deny it. When he asked what she did, LITERALLY CRICKETS. #OnYourSide

Mendieta incorporated elements from Afro-Cuban religious traditions into her work, creating a bridge between her lost home and her found land. She is also considered a pioneer of ecofeminism, connecting the earth with the feminine figure in her environmental works. /end

The Silueta Series is among Mendieta’s most recognized works. She imprinted her body’s silhouette onto the landscape, often incorporating natural elements, and documented it in photographs and film. Her groundbreaking performance art Untitled (Rape Scene) addresses violence against women. /5

Mendieta created a unique genre by using the natural world and her own body as the medium for her art, connecting the human form with the earth. Her work is semiautobiographical, drawing on her experiences as a refugee from Cuba and dealing with the trauma of being torn from her homeland. /4

Mendieta had had a sheltered, upper-class upbringing in Cuba. In the U.S., she and her sister had limited English and were enrolled in reform school. However, she discovered her love for art in junior high and earned her BA and MA in painting and MFA in Intermedia at the University of Iowa. /3

Mendieta was born Nov. 18, 1948, in Havana to wealthy and prominent parents. In 1961, her parents sent her and her sister to live in the U.S. through a program for children fleeing Castro’s government. The sisters spent five years shuttling among foster homes before reuniting with their mother. /2

This comment wins the internet today describing what Trumps team said that led to “generational miscommunication”
Guys, I figured it out! Someone told Trump that Portland was lit and Trump thought that meant it was burning! Generational miscommunication!
